Moo.fx is a small JavaScript library to add powerpoint or flash-like transition effects to web sites. It claims to be a lighter than the already known script.aculo.us transition effects and easy to implement.

Moo.fx is based on prototype.js and is therefore nice, clean code that works cross-browser.

It is nice to have a clean version of these effects, to replace the MSIE proprietary filters, but the same dangers apply:
These things can help usability and make pages more fun to use, but at the same time they can be annoying when they get overused or take too long on the machine in use.

The size of the JavaScript is only one indicator as to how lightweight it is – how it performs on slow computers is another.

We congratulate the developers on a nice implementation, and hope the designers take it on as a chance to spice up their sites while keeping the spice level below a vindaloo.
