Skip to comment formAdrian Holovaty points out that ESPN’s World Series 100th Anniversary site is a classic example of unnecessary Flash usage. Flash is certainly a popular choice for rich multimedia presentations, and when done right it can produce stunning results. But in this case, ESPN has chosen create the entire site in Flash, badly recreating such basic metaphors as page navigation, with no accessible HTML alternative content. Those without Flash or without the ability to use Flash will have to learn about the World Series somewhere else.
